Friday night games are always a struggle. First of all, you get up early in the morning for work, and your brains are fried and your eyes are burnt from watching a computer screen for most of the day. Oh the joys of the internet business. So when it’s time to go to the field, you usually forget something. I forgot my cleats and had to drive back home through rush hour traffic to retrieve them. I believe my 1979 Saab 96G hates me for what I put it through, but she made the round trip from the Velodrome to Museokatu and back in less than 25 minutes.

Our second game versus the 69ers began much like the first meeting. We scored the first two times and them the 69ers scored against us a few times. But we held tough and although the turf was slippery from an afternoon shower, we were able to run and pass with ease. The last extra point attempt was blocked to leave behind an eerie score. There really isn’t much use to go into a play by play for this game. One game left in the regular season and then we are headed to the playoffs. Next game is versus the Lohja Lions (4-5) in Lohja 15.00, Saturday 12.8.2000. Admission is FREE.

That’s all for now. Until next week.
